It is September 6, 2008 and I received the letter from Assumption today. It was just a plain white envelope so it could easily be overlooked. Inside the envelope was a one page thing that looked like an invitation. I did not proof this...I just sent AHS my letter and asked them to mail it to all of you on behalf of the reunion committee. They said it was confusing and I told them to make any changes necessary and please get it out as soon as possible. I'm sorry the envelope did not include postage...that was somehow excluded. Anyway, the purpose of the letter was to get everyone who wants to attend our 20th Reunion to send money for the tickets. August 1, 2008 RE: Dear Assumption 1988 Graduate, We hope this letter finds everyone having an incredible summer. Thank you for all of the hilarious photos and feedback on our reunion website. It truly has been great to see and hear from all of you. With that being said, we are still hopeful there are more of you who will go to the site, register and attend this reunion. Actually, you can also simply send your money and show up! The planning of our reunion is going well and we believe we are going to have a memorable event. It will be held at Hunting Creek Country Club on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 6:00 until Midnight. The ticket price is $60 per person and it includes dinner, 3 drink tickets, entertainment, and party favors/prizes. Please make your check payable to Assumption Class of 1988. This letter includes an addressed envelope with postage so it will go straight to Missy Knust Beard, our classmate and reunion accountant. Her address is: 10605 Farm We know it is a difficult time right now and spending a large chunk of money is not easy. We assure you we are not taking the ticket price lightly. We will make very good use of the reunion funds to make certain we have a great menu, surprise guests, funny memorabilia, entertaining games, prizes and awesome music. We would also like to have the funds available to continue the website and use it to stay in touch and keep each other updated. Several people gave us the same suggestion. We want you to know we hear you and we want to grant all requests! So, on Friday night October 17, 2008 we invite everyone to come to Captain’s Quarters for a GIRL’S NIGHT OUT starting at 7:00 PM. There will be no formal reservations or menu and we will each be responsible for our own tab. Please keep spreading the word to people (especially people not yet on the website!) and help us make this our most attended and successful reunion.
